The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution

The product is described by Deciem as offering "mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance and visible clarity. The formula also improves the appearance of skin texture with continued use". This is generally what AHAs will do for skin- they help exfoliate the surface layer.

The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

The formula is a cocktail of triglycerides, amino acids, fatty acids, phospholipids and hyaluronic acid - basically, hydration, restoration and repair building blocks for the complexion. If you're super dry, this may not be quite enough for you if you like heavy creams; but for easily overwhelmed skin, Natural Moisturising Factors + HA is glorious.

The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

The Ordinary - Niacinamida 10% + Zinco 1%

The Ordinary - Advanced Retinoid 2%

The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid is a skin treatment for cell turnover and elastin production. A serum made with two forms of next generation retinoids with 2% concentration by weight. It contains active retinoid such as Solubulized Hydroxypinacode Retinote - a highly advance form of retinoid which is a non-prescription ester of all-trans direct retinoid acid [ this doesn't need to be converted into an active form of Vitamin A into the skin ].

This serum is known to help with treating dark spots and wrinkles than all other non-prescription forms of retinoids, including retinol but without any irritation. I haven't paid much attention to this particular concern as I'm using Lactic Acid and Niacinamide also from The Ordinary range which I've seen results with. [ See list of other products I've used and reviewed from Deciem below this post]. For just £8, I think this is the cheapest priced Advanced Retinoid on the market so it definitely worth a try. I definitely recommend for the glowing and smooth skin alone.

The Ordinary - Ascorbic acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%

The ascorbic acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% serum which is a chemical exfoliant works incredibly well and is currently my favourite serum! It cleared most of my hyper-pigmentation in the 4 weeks I've been using it.

It doesn't have any chemically smell which was one of my fears. The product is a strong exfoliant and should not be used directly. It should be diluted with a lotion or oil.

Also note that it does say you can use this serum both day and night, I advice against using it during the day because retinol is reactive to sunlight and could cause sunburns. I only used this serum as part of my night time routine. However, if you want to use it during the day, I suggest you use a really strong sunscreen.

The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

What The Ordinary say: "This formulation uses 100% pure Rosehip Seed Oil that is both cold-pressed and organic. Rosehip Seed Oil is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid and pro-vitamin A, all of which degrade when the oil extraction process involves heat. While cold-pressed extraction is complex, it preserves all of the quality of this important oil which has been shown to reduce signs of photo-ageing and many other skin conditions."

My Verdict: I bought this because I ran out of my beloved Khiel's Midnight Recovery Serum (£38), which is a gorgeous silky oil that smells divine and works miracles. I use the Rose Hip Oil every other night after applying the Hyaluronic Acid or the Advanced Retinoid serum but before moisturiser and sometimes mix it with my foundation in the morning. The oil smells lovely and although a bit thicker than the Khiel's serum, I found it still sank in amazingly well and left me waking up with supple, soft skin. I also get quite dry skin on my neck so love slathering this on it every night.
